As you may know by now, Florida Odyssey is switching over to use the National Organization’s team registration system. Florida is the last association to make the switch to using this system and as the largest Association in the program it has come with its own set of challenges. But just like our Odyssey teams, we found ways to solve the problems and begin to create what will be the best system for you and for us.
The plan was to roll out the registration this past Monday (October 16) however, some issues with the payment system delayed that. We have since gotten those issues solved. In addition, to make the release as smooth and easy as possible for all involved – it was planned to roll out all the Regional Registrations at once. As of today (October 20) there are still Regions who have not given the thumbs up as “ready for registration.” I have talked to these directors and told them that they have until Monday, October 23 at 3 PM to finish any other preparations they need. Regardless of it they give their “go ahead” registration for all 9 regions will be live at that time.
If for any reason, we get the all clear from the last regions before then, we will go live early. If that occurs a post will be put up on our Facebook Page, Florida Odyssey of the Mind. Please visit our page, like it and follow it.
